Weak Hadeeth in Riyadhus Saliheen

Weak Ahadeeth in Riyadus Saliheen (الأحاديث الضعيفة في رياض الصالحين)

by: Shaykh Muhammad Nasir-ud-Deen al-Albani

There is an Arabic version of riyad ul-saliheen with commentary…. It states that its checked by ibn-ul-uthaymin with the help of sheikh suhaib arna’oot and sheikh naseer ad-deen al Albanee..the following hadeeth were graded in this version of riyad-ul-saliheen. So someone went thru the book with me, checking the hadeeth to see which one is deaf, etc… May Allah forgive me if I have made a mistake or the person who was telling me the hadeeth numbers for weak hadeeth.

In order to know that you have the same version of riyad ul saliheen then please check this hadeeth and the hadeeth number is the same:

Chapter 18 – Hadeeth No. 169.
‘Aisha (May allah be pleased with her) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:, “If anyone
introduces in our matter something which does not belong to it, will be rejected”. [Al-Bukhari and
Al-Muslim].
Note: the abbreviation PBUH is used in the hadeeth, but it is impermissible to use them because most people ignore them and do not read them . So please write the correct statement which is (sallallahu alayhe wa salam) or Peace and Blessings be upon him. The Committee of Major Scholars in Saudi Arabia headed by ‘Abdul-‘Azeez ibn ‘Abdillaah ibn Baaz issued the following verdict when asked about the validity of abbreviating the salaah on the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam): “The Sunnah is to write the entire phrase “sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam,” since it is a kind of supplication, and supplication is worship, (in one’s writing) just as it is in one’s speech. So to abbreviate it using the letter SAAD or the word SAAD-LAAM-‘AYN-MEEM is not a supplication nor it is worship, whether it occurs in speech or writing. For this reason, this abbreviation was not used by the the first three generations, those that the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) testified to their goodness.” [Fatwaawaa Al-Lajnatid-Daa’imah #18770 (12/208-209)]

And there are other fatwas AND Allah knows best.
The following hadeeth are weak in Riyad-ul-Saliheen. I have only included the hadeeth number and not the actual hadeeth due to limited time.

The following hadeeth is unknown whether it is authentic or weak, so i do advise you to be careful and it is best to avoid it just incase of falling into error and Allah knows best. The reason being is mostly because in this version of riyad ul-saliheen, there are some hadeeth which are skipped… or it doesn’t appear in it… strange but I don’t know why, Allahu A’llam.
